Can you help me compare these 2 laptops?

My mother keeps insisting that the laptop I have now is better than the new one she got my brother. I have a Dell Latitude D630 I just got as a hand-me-down from my dad, I think it’s about two years old. My brother has, I am pretty sure but not positive, the newest installment in the Acer Aspire series of laptops (by the way it is not one of the netbooks, it is a normal sized laptop, I’m just not sure which one). It has Windows 7 but my mom said she’s willing to get Windows 7 on the Latitude and also to wipe the harddrive of mine.
Which laptop would be better? Which has better performance? Which is faster? Which has more memory?
