I got the blue screen of death on my new netbook?

I’m no computer wiz, but I keep getting the blue screen of death on my new netbook I got for christmas. I can’t start up my computer anymore, it absolutely won’t let me, and it won’t let me go into safe mode, either. What caused this? How do I fix it? It’s a brand new computer. I don’t understand.
